What We Do

We are called to:

  • Call the Body of Christ to maturity through the process of sanctification and

transformation with healing focused seminars, retreats, and pastoral prayer

    ministry.

  • Train and mentor an army of lovers who will bring in the Harvest.

  • Train and mentor an army of spiritual medics who will skillfully and

compassionately carry hurting hearts to Jesus Christ for healing.

  • Take the message of sanctification and transformation to Israel for reconciliation

among the people in the nation.

Sarah Compton

Co-Founder

With over 75 years of combined ministry experience, Thea Loughery and Sarah Compton have faithfully served the Body of Christ through pastoral care, prayer ministry, and global teaching. Both women ministered alongside their husbands for many years before being widowed, and today they continue to pour into others as mothers, grandmothers, and spiritual leaders.

After completing advanced training through Elijah House Ministries—including Schools of Prayer Ministry, Internship, and Residency—Thea and Sarah joined the Elijah House staff as pastoral prayer counselors and teachers, ministering internationally. In 2011, they co-founded Transformed Hearts Ministries with the full blessing of Elijah House leadership and its co-founder, John Sandford, who served as a close friend and spiritual advisor until his passing in 2018.

Their shared passion is to see hearts healed, lives transformed, and the Body of Christ prepared to love God wholeheartedly. They carry a God-given mandate to bring sanctification, transformation, and reconciliation to Israel and to raise up an “Army of Lovers” and “Army of Medics” who lead wounded hearts to Jesus for healing. Through ongoing ministry, training, and international outreach, Thea and Sarah continue to walk out this calling with humility, wisdom, and deep love for God’s people.

Our Commission: Turning Hearts and Restoring Relationships

As John Loren Sandford wrote in his book, ‘Transforming the Inner Man’, prayer ministers “evangelize the unbelieving areas of believers’ hearts and to apply the Cross of Christ through prayer and counsel to the sinful structures built into one’s heart over a lifetime; although every sinful deed was fully washed away when you accepted Jesus as your Lord, not every part of your heart was immediately able to fully appropriate the good news of that fact.” Using Scriptural keys, we partner with Holy Spirit to bring deep healing in the heart through confession, forgiveness, and repentance. Facilitating reconciliation in relationships one heart at a time, between people and God and people with each other. Malachi 4:5-6 “Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives. His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers. Otherwise, I will come and strike the land with a curse.”

OUR CONNECTIONS

The Lord said to us, “In the Kingdom of God, nothing happens but by relationship.” We connect with other leaders and ministries in relationships to provide mutual support, insight, and encouragement.

OUR CALL TO ISRAEL

In 2002, Thea received a clear call from the Father to take the message of sanctification and transformation to the Sons of Abraham. Though years passed without an open door, the call never left her heart. In 2010, God revealed a three‑wave strategy for this mission—beginning with Thea and Sarah, both of whom had already been prepared by the Lord for Israel.

With the blessing of Elijah House Ministries and founder John Loren Sandford, Thea and Sarah established Transformed Hearts Ministries in 2010, dedicating it to God’s mandate: “Go to Israel” and “Raise up an Army of Lovers and Medics.”

In 2013, the long‑awaited invitation finally came. God provided every need, and Thea and Sarah spent seven weeks ministering throughout Israel as missionaries to establish loving relationships in the nation-teaching, praying, and partnering with Holy Spirit as He brought deep healing among Russian, Ethiopian, and Messianic believers.Everywhere they went, unexpected rain—considered a sign of God’s favor during Sukkot—confirmed His timing. Hearts were restored, trauma was healed, and hope returned to weary believers throughout the Land.

Their ministry continued in subsequent years, including a return trip in 2018 to serve leaders in Jerusalem and beyond. Today, they are preparing the second wave of the strategy to bring the team God identified, waiting on His timing to return after the delays brought by COVID‑19.

Transformed Hearts Ministries remains committed to God’s call to Israel—bringing reconciliation, healing, and transformation, building relationships, and equipping believers to walk in freedom. This work is made possible through the prayers and generosity of those who partner with them. Together, they continue to prepare the Bride of Christ for the Bridegroom, expecting that “the best is yet to come!”
