Missy’s Pitcher
It was a treasure I had found for my daughter, who loves old things. It was shipped to my home. When I opened the box, my heart sank. The Dresden China pitcher was broken.Then I remembered Kintsukouri:“To repair with gold”; the art of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken.” The message was clear to us, as Sarah and I went to work to glue together the pieces of the elegant China pitcher and fill the cracks with a gold wax finish!“This is what we do!” Sarah exclaimed while we worked.. “God made my life complete when I placed all the broken pieces before Him.” (Psalm 18: 20 The Message) When we place the broken pieces of our hearts before the Lord and hold onto Him in our pain, He puts us back together with a transforming power that makes us a beautiful vessel. Romans 8:28 is still true! To God be the Glory!
It all started when…
The Lord reminded us that His Kingdom moves through relationship. As we’ve traveled, we’ve seen a deep need among prayer ministers to connect with others of like heart across the U.S. and the nations. In response, He led us to form the THM Fellowship of Intimate Allies—a network of ‘heart specialists’ inspired in part by John Eldredge’s writings. This fellowship exists to build relational support, mentoring, encouragement, wisdom, and shared revelation among those called to pastoral care. We offer individual prayer ministry, ongoing training, retreats, workshops, and a private online platform for connection and shared insight. Together, we learn from one another as we grow in our callings. The Lord is raising up an end‑time army of skilled, spiritual medics, compelled by love alone.
